It can be really hard if someone you care about is struggling with the effects of trauma. “Aloe To Your Vera” is about how Amalie Bryde wants to listen and be there for them. It effects her seeing how they hurt themselves by not being vulnerable and letting go. She wants them to know she is there for them but that the change has to come within themselves. “I cannot heal you, only self-compassion can, I’ll help with the direction”. The metaphor is drawn to the Aloe Vera which stands for beauty, healing and protection and that’s what Amalie’s trying to give and let them feel.

Amalie Bryde and edbl meet on Instagram when Amalie freestyled over one of edbl’s video posts. edbl reached and used the sample in “inside - interlude” on “edbl beats, vol.2”. “Aloe To Your Vera” is the second collaboration between writer Amalie Bryde and producer Edbl.
